Star Model Coach and Choreographer, Mike Jones goes global

Feb. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Superstar Model Coach and Choreographer, Mike Jones is shining beyond his wildest imagination.  The go-to model trainer from the Midwest has redefined what fashion shows look like with his unparallel signature walk, style and poses that could ignite a revolution on catwalks across the world! Jones has become nationally renowned for his theatrical yet refined runway presentations.  He is set to choreograph an international runway show this coming weekend in Atlanta Georgia.  The International Bridal Fashion & Jewelry Week Fall 2012 will feature models from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and parts of South Asia.
His carefully choreographed shows are cinematic and captivating-enticing audiences for more and more. “I want people to fall in love with my vision and runway choreography,” he begins.  "Anyone can train models but I bring an artistic presentation that connects both the models and audiences to the core of fashion. I train models to become characters and really embrace what they are wearing in a manner that embodies the designers’ best elements.  I don’t just teach them how to pose I teach them how to act.  I build their confidence.  I try to elevate their faith in themselves.  People don’t understand that modeling is an extension of acting and theater. The make-up artists can create the face.  The designers can design the clothes but the model bring personality and life to everything.”

Jones foundation as a runway choreographer is rooted in his training as a fashion model.  He modeled for twenty years, learning the tools of the fashion trade with every show and every photo shoot.  His knowledge of dance and music shaped his higher learning of choreography.  Coming from a musically inspired family influenced Jones to intertwine modeling and movement.  His neice, Penelope is a popular rapper and budding television broadcast star and their cousin, Toya was St. Louis’ billboard pop star who scored a top 10 hit with the single “I do.”

“I believe in pulling all your gifts and talents together to create your best work.  You have to interrelate all that you know into your talent. Music, rhythm and movement is all part of choreography.  You have to put your strengths in everything that you do and relinquish any weaknesses in order to produce your best work. We all have to leave a positive impact on others.  That’s how you get your blessings.  My work is beyond fashion.  I like that I have the opportunity to uplift people and help them develop their character. I trained a Doctor who was modeling for a show last year. She had recently given birth and was self-critical about her presence.  She told me that I helped re-instill confidence in her through my training.  She was appreciative of the tips I gave her because it strengthen her state of well being.  This is what is most rewarding for me. I was helping her but she blessed me as well.”

Jones has recently created a company, Stella Losir to train models on a regular basis.  He says that he used to be against modeling schools but now realizes the importance of giving models the professional tools required to succeed in the business. Jones looks forward to reuniting with all the models that he has trained.
