This product addition expands AMI’s group of core “cloud” based products and strengthens the company’s reputation as a leader and innovator in the industrial cloud technology market.
The device itself, as with all AMI products, is simple to install and to use. The device gives the user 7 inputs and 8 outputs for remote sensor management. This means multiple sensors can be connected to a single device. The device is compatible with any 4-20Ma, 0-3 and 0-10V DC sensor as well as any high speed counter/meter. The device will automatically alert the user of changes in status, critical threshold crossings, etc. via text message and email. These alerts can be customizable and shared with unlimited users. All logged data is stored in AMI’s cloud based data warehouse for reporting and historical analysis purposes. All historical data is also available from any computer, tablet or Smartphone.
The diverse nature of the product makes sensor management possible across many market segments. Some of the most common applications for it are remote monitoring of tank/well level, temperature, soil moisture, pH, weather data, pressure, flow rate and more. Simple plug and play technology allows for easy installation without the need for complicated configuration by the end user. The system puts all of the information from the sensors in the palm of the customers’ hand without the need to physically visit site. With the ioConnect™ the user can get automatic alerts, change system parameters, log data and run reports anytime, anyplace.
The ioConnect™ further showcases AMI’s focus on customer feedback. David Drake, CEO of AMI, said “Our customers have been asking for expanded inputs and outputs on our products. Rather than customize each user interface, and making hardware changes per project, we decided to give our customers what they wanted in a simple, user friendly package”.
AMI™ will offer the product through their traditional distribution channels as well as part of its OEM division.
Drake added, “This product is tailor made for manufacturer’
