Walker, author of Ethics and the Employee-Centric Firm, will present a lecture titled "Re-thinking the Purpose of the Firm" at Chestnut Hill College on March 7 at 4:00 p.m. and will speak about his experience of building a company that has a strong focus on unparalleled customer service and unwavering core principles.
"Thirty years ago, I founded Andesa Services on a single, fundamental premise: that a firm must create an environment within which its employees can excel for the benefit of all parties involved," Dr. Walker said. "By staying true to this principle and our core values – service, honesty, respect, integrity, responsibility, courage and initiative – Andesa has become a leader in its field. A truly excellent firm can not – and must not – exist for the sole purpose of generating profits. Instead, it has an opportunity and a responsibility to feed the human soul."
The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Barbara Diemer, MBA, M.Ed., assistant professor of business, at 215.248.7033.
