Harlem Shake Dance is taking over the Internet

The latest internet meme is the Harlem Shake Dance craze. It is 30 seconds of a song with some wild dancing.

Feb. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- The Harlem Shake is an internet meme where a person is dancing, usually with something on their head, while everyone else in the scene is doing a mundane task for 15 seconds. Then the music changes, and everyone in the videos starts dancing wildly. This internet meme began to trend on YouTube and Twitter when YouTube tastemakers began to make their own versions of the Harlem Shake. Here is an example of Harlem Shake by LaneVid & TheFunnyrats:

Some of these videos are receiving millions of views and you can even see some other companies making their own version of the Harlem Shake as a way to use social media to keep their company with the trends that happen online.

Is the Harlem Shake the next Gangnam Style? Only time will tell, but due to how easy it is to create the video and how catchy internet memes are, I would not be surprised to see many more Harlem Shake videos appearing on YouTube in the near future.
