PRLog - Feb. 19, 2013 - Sandhills Thermal Imaging announces the opening of the newest service area in the EnergyScanIR™ Network for Infrared Building Heat-Loss Surveys.  EnergyScanIR™ is a new line of service which provides Energy surveys for building owners.  EnergyScanIR™ service providers use infrared thermography to locate heat loss.  EnergyScanIR™ is a network of trained infrared thermographers with a simple goal…to help building owners save money by saving energy.  The service providers use high-tech infrared imagers to find the exact locations of heat loss and air leaks in buildings, which allows those areas can be surgically repaired to reduce energy consumption and utility costs.

Sandhills Thermal Imaging ( http://www.sandhillsthermalimaging.com ) is owned and operated by Brad Gilbertson.  The company is based out of Fayetteville, North Carolina and mainly provides service to the Sandhills region of the state. However, their thermographers can travel to any location where service is needed. The company is a full-service thermography company capable of providing any infrared imaging a client may need. “We provide professional infrared services for a wide variety of clients in the Fayetteville area.  Being part of a nationwide network provides our company with a huge resource of expertise in many different applications of infrared thermography, which we then provide to our clients,” states Mr. Gilbertson.  Sandhills Thermal Imaging uses state-of-the-art FLIR™ infrared imaging equipment to produce a series of photographic-quality thermographs which are then reviewed and interpreted by a certified thermographer.  “Saving Energy is an issue for everyone these days.  By utilizing infrared technology, our service will provide even more value for our customer base. The completed survey will allow the building owner to visualize each instance of energy loss due to air infiltration or insulation deficiencies,” stated Mr. Gilbertson. “The EnergyScanIR™ survey is a unique and innovative service, and we are excited about the ability to assist building owners in our area with this capability,” Mr. Gilbertson concludes.

EnergyScanIR™ is owned by United Infrared, a North Carolina corporation owned by Gregory R. Stockton and Peter Hopkins.  “EnergyScanIR™ is a service whose time has finally come”, states Greg Stockton.  Infrared Thermography is a proven diagnostic technique recommended by the US Department of Energy for identifying areas of heat loss. Considering a homeowner’s heating and cooling load can be up to 50% of their actual energy bill, a scan of a home can identify where those wasted dollars are going - no matter what type of heating or cooling system is being used.

“The most unique aspect of this service is that we are a nationwide network of local infrared contractors, which is what enables us to provide very affordable pricing for homeowners.  For example, a basic survey for a home up to 2,500 square feet in our operational area is only $299,” says Peter Hopkins, the company’s VP and National Operations Manager.
