They’re often raised off of the ground, while a patio can offer some of the same benefits as a deck, but is usually made from concrete or stone, and is closer to ground level. Patios are great for those who want to enjoy the outdoors and have access to the backyard.
“Either option can really add to your property and home value,” added Schmidt. “But many customers feel that the joy they get out of such an investment is worth the cost by itself.”
