After celebrating 51 closings on new homes in 2011, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods was delighted to triple that number with 153 closings in 2012. Projected closings in 2013 are already estimated at more than 250. Last year’s successes were also reflected in the introductions of Acadia’s Signature Collection featuring skillfully crafted semi-custom homes priced from the $500,000’s to $800,000’s in Atlanta’s most distinctive neighborhoods and the Capitol Collection showcasing affordable and beautifully constructed homes priced from the mid $100,000’s to the $200,000’s in the region’s most sought after communities. “We are thrilled with Atlanta’s response to our efforts in 2012, and are excited about the possibilities 2013 holds,” explains Gregg Goldenberg, President and CEO of Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. “We fully intend to take advantage of the rebound in Atlanta’s home market to restore new home communities, construct new communities in areas of market demand, offer homeowners outstanding quality at new market pricing, and continue to emerge as a leader among Atlanta area home builders.” With the growth of the company’s efforts, so followed the expansion of the Acadia team. The Atlanta new home builder added 36 staff members in 2012, including sales agents, construction supervisors, executives and more. Among those additions were homebuilding industry veterans Randy Collins as Vice President of Construction, Michael Rosenberg as Vice President, and Ginny Bishop as Director of Marketing. Acadia’s extended team also grew to include Home Mortgage Consultants from Wells Fargo, as the nation’s leading retail mortgage lender was officially tapped as Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ Acadia’s efforts did not go unnoticed by the highly esteemed Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods was recognized with a number of OBIE Awards including a Gold for Best Landscape Design and Silver for Best Building Design for its Wellstone Community, a Silver for Best Urban Redevelopment of its Sutherland Corner Community, a Silver for Best Interior Merchandising of its model home in Reece Farms, and a Silver for Best Video Promotion. This recognition from the homebuilding community continued recently when Goldenberg was featured in a January 2013 article titled “Developer certain of turnaround” for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. After building a following among industry leaders and new homeowners alike, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods sets its sights on growing its fan base even further in the coming months.
