Spectacular Custom Homes
Greensboro, Feb. 19, 2013 – Jennifer Strimple had already burst through the glass ceiling in the construction industry when she found that building custom homes was her niche.
As owner and president of Home Team Builders, she found her true calling in the challenge and creativity of building a custom home, becoming one of the leading custom homebuilders in the Triad.
The detailed process of working with clients to help realize their dream home was exactly what she liked best, especially in communities like Jessup Ridge where every home reflects the taste and lifestyle of the owner.
Her teamwork approach, embodied in the name of her company, Home Team Builders, is one reason for her noteworthy success. “My clients become part of the team,” she says. “Every homebuyer participates in every aspect of the building process.” Strimple guides them personally, from start to finish, making the process painless and enjoyable.
“I always explain that I am not building this house for me. I’m building it for them. It’s not about what the builder wants, but how this house will fit into the daily life of the client.” She proceeds to listen carefully to what the homebuyers say they want, then translates each suggestion into the home she is building for them.
Because Jennifer is the mother of twin teenagers and two younger sons, she brings a unique insight into which features work best for a family.
She is the one responsible for every stage of the process from laying the foundation and the framing through the selection of kitchen cabinetry and bathroom fixtures.
Jennifer depends on Realtor David Lanzi’s professional experience and passion for helping his clients to assist her with sales and marketing. As a result, a customer’s dream home goes from being an overwhelming task to a fun and memorable experience.
She is also an environmentalist, and was among the first to become a Certified Green Professional, acknowledged by the National Association of Home Builders in 2008. To earn the Energy Star certification, a new home must meet strict guidelines, set by the EPA, and be inspected by a licensed Energy Rater. The result is Energy Star homes are 20 – 30 percent more energy efficient through the use of more effective insulation, higher performance windows, tighter construction joints and enclosed duct work. A more efficient HVAC installation and Energy Star quality lighting and appliances are other requirements.
After graduating from East Tennessee State University with degrees in Computer Aided
Design Graphics and Construction Technology, she entered the field of commercial construction. She earned her stripes, winning awards for her work along with a reputation for gold-standard excellence. Her natural talent for design and decoration encouraged her to enter the new home construction business. The same talents made her gravitate to custom home building and the creativity it demands.
Her matchless combination of experience, qualifications, and insight has made Jennifer Strimple and Home Team Builders one of the Triad’s most successful builders of custom homes.

Jessup Ridge is the result of a vision that developer Rob Jessup’s dad had for his family’s land near Summerfield. Dozens of beautiful homes were built on the scenic property and now an additional 50 homesites are being added in this custom home community where homes are priced from the mid $400,000’s.
Construction is underway on the new pool and clubhouse which is being built by Home Team Builders. This facility will be open for the summer 2013 season.
Jessup Ridge backs up to a section of North Carolina’s Mountain to the Sea Trail, a 900-plus mile trail consisting of footpaths, roads, and state bike routes, stretching from Tennessee to the Atlantic Ocean. Its location near Summerfield makes the community convenient to shopping in Greensboro. There is also a shopping center about one mile away.
It is also convenient to the 50- acre Summerfield Community Park, the Bur Mill and Bryan Parks and the Haw River State Park. Nearby golf courses include the Iron Play and Greensboro National Golf Clubs. It is in Guilford County’s popular Northern School district.
Jessup Ridge is located north of downtown Greensboro near the Church Street intersection with NC Hwy 150. Coming from the downtown area, turn left at the intersection, travel approximately 1.5 miles; turn right onto Cedar Hollow Road.
