It’s no wonder that he was nominated for the Leduc Chamber of Commerce Young Business Leadership Award. Dennis is described as having a strong desire to make thing happen with a tireless drive to help other live their lives to their full potential. He holds himself up to high attainable standards and offers advice based on experience not just theory.
“My passion has always been serving others and developing human potential. Right now my role is building businesses. Whatever I do in my life I know that I will be working alongside others, staying in accordance with my passion,” says Taekema.
Dennis grew up in Leduc and has really been proud to watch his community grow. He has been a volunteer with youth groups and involved with different theatre groups and projects all over Alberta for the past nine years.
The Young Entrepreneur Leadership Award is a new awards category, sponsored by Canadian Tire Leduc, and recognizes the leadership potential of young men and women, ages 30 and under, who have significant accomplishments and who show potential for substantial leadership growth in the business community.
The Awards will be given out at the Business Awards Gala, Fire & Ice, February 23, 2013 at the Executive Royal Inn between 6:00-11:00pm. Tickets for this event are sold out.
