Feb. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- After an impressive 34-10 victory over Italy in their last fixture, and looking to improve on a terrible performance throughout the 2012 Six Nations, caretaker coach Scott Johnson and his men look ahead to their next challenge at the end of the month, a home tie against old foes Ireland. Murrayfield will no doubt come alive once again as Scotland look to overhaul their old adversaries.

The weekend before last saw a relatively straightforward clash for Scotland against an Italian side flying high from their victory over France in their opening game of the Six Nations. A superb breakaway try from Stuart Hogg helped seal victory with Sean Lamont, Matthew Scott and Tim Visser all going over as well.

In Ireland however on the 24th February Richie Gray and the boy’s face a tougher task. Looking at the head to head stats, Ireland edges it narrowly. Of the past 21 games, Ireland have snatched 11 whilst Scotland have only won 9 with 1 draw. Recent history however isn’t as good with Ireland winning 7 out of the last 10 matches, including a 32-14 hammering in the same fixture last year.

The atmosphere in Edinburgh will undoubtedly be electric for this one. Tickets are still available from however should you not be lucky enough to join the 67,000 fans in Murrayfield then any bar in Edinburgh City Centre will make a great alternative to watch the match.
