Musical Debut from LA based Style-Blogger, Meg Olsen - 'Deal from the Bottom' EP Released 02/19/13

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 19, 2013 - Meg Olsen, better known as founder of the much read style blog Don Juan's Reckless Daughter will officially launch her latest project today, a debut EP entitled "Deal from the Bottom".  The EP is comprised of four original songs and a delightful surf pop take on the classic Morrissey tune, Suedehead. It was produced by Daniel Dempsey (Until June, Jamestown Revival) and is being released independently in conjunction with the Los Angeles based artist collective, Bad Transmission. 'Deal from the Bottom' takes listeners on a misty journey through the steep peeks and serene valleys of the human condition and posses questions about the motives behind the search for love.  Meg began writing songs from a very early age but due to acute anxiety she did not start sharing her music until much more recently.  Spurred on by several musician friends and a gig as a backing vocalist on tour with Canadian artist, Lucette,  Meg  began recording what would become her debut EP in the Fall of 2012.  

Her music has been dubbed "gorgeous, smokey, and cinematic" and "twang-tinged" drawing comparisons to Mazzy Star and Jenny Lewis among others.  There will be an official EP release show at Bar Lubitsch in West Hollywood, CA on Tuesday,  February 19th 2013 at 9:30PM
