“The songs on the album Loud for Christ, were written at a time in my life when through seeking God for comfort and healing I witnessed God carry me gracefully through an awful circumstance. I experienced God’s faithfulness and the transforming power of his word. He has given me beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, and praise for the spirit of heaviness”, Roqué says, “this is the most creative and happiest I have ever been doing music.”
Born in Miami, Florida, music has been her constant companion. Roqué began her career on the hit talent show Ed McMahon’s Star Search sweeping the competition before becoming a regular on Disney Channels Mickey Mouse Club in the company of a star studded cast such as Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and from NBC's The Voice season two second runner-up Tony Lucca who got plenty of media attention last year due to an onscreen feud with coach Aguilera.
King Jesus has a strong message hitting the music scene at a time when a fresh artist like Roqué is a breath of fresh air to believing and unbelieving listeners alike,” notes Rebekah Behar of 3R Entertainment Group.
