(February 15, 2013) Santa Barbara, CA – Tecfen Corporation, a leading distributor of Ophthalmic, Ear Nose & Throat, and General Surgical products to doctors, clinics and hospitals in over 120 countries worldwide announces that it will join forces with Soft Logic, Inc. to create a joint venture partnership in order to expand its U.S. reach. The new name of the combined entities is Tecfen Medical. This union of two well-established distributors will build upon the solid history of developing long lasting business relationships by ensuring customer satisfaction from beginning to end. Tecfen Medical, an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, will continue to be a full-service, customer-oriented, worldwide distributor of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer’s requirements while continually improving quality management systems.

Gene Ekonomi will be Tecfen Medical's CEO; Kristine Witzel will serve as President, and Kerim Ekonomi as Vice-President.
