are quickly becoming obsolete and a new dawn of sports media is upon us. Sports rumors blogs have exploded onto the scene and are becoming the top destination for sports fans. Sports fans are no longer looking for just scores or a generic recap of last night's game because there are thousands of apps for that right on their phone. Sports fans want to know the latest gossip and rumors on their favorite athletes. For example, when the Tiger Woods scandal broke a few years ago, sports fans were turning to sports rumors blogs and celebrity gossip sites like TMZ to find out the latest dirt on the golfer's mistresses.
I'm a blogger and I love breaking the latest news, rumors and gossip. Sports fans like to read about what model or actress their favorite player is hooking up with or about pro athletes getting drunk in a club. Twitter has also allowed sports fans to become a part of their favorite athlete's world. Athletes use Twitter to Tweet eachother pictures and blogs pick up on all this. Twitter also allows fans to interact and even message their favorite athletes.
Another aspect of sports blogging is the video craze. Traditional sites don't post
controversial videos that sports blogs often do. Sports blogs like mine will post a streaker running onto the field, or a fight in the stands, or an athlete acting stupid in a club. Everyone has a camera phone these days and people are recording an athlete's every move, whether it's good or bad. These videos quickly get posted to Youtube and sports gossip blogs and then go viral. Fans love this candid aspect of the athlete's life. They like to feel like they are regular people just like them.
In today's media driven society, sports rumors blogs are becoming the go to websites on the web to find out everything that is going on in the sports world. Many sports blogs have been bought out by big companies and have sold out, but there are still a lot of blogs that don't care about rules. These blogs give you the real sports stories, not some watered down rendition. If your a die hard sports fan, and your not reading a sports rumors blog like http://www.impeccablesports.com and Tweeting your favorite athletes on Twitter then your missing out.
