"The dates of the campaign to include Peak 92.9, the Pikes Peak Courier View, The Mountain Jackpot and more was based on what is traditionally been the slowest for local businesses; the last week in February and the first few days of March," said Michael Perini.
The campaign was open to any business that had a product or service to sell. As a result 40 businesses have signed up to participate;

Organizers provided a packet to businesses with materials to engage with their customers. The packet included buttons, coloring contest forms, a window decal, trail guides and merchandise tags. Tips on how to market and promote the campaign were also offered, Perini said.

Discounts and specials are the key to this campaign. "TWEEDS, for example will have everything up to 75% off storewide," Perini said. "A Trail Guide is available at the store (240 E Hwy 24, Woodland Park, CO.) to use to find all the businesses and specials.
