Feb. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Cincinnati, OH- The 4th Annual Tie Dye Ball to benefit Play It Forward takes place this Friday, February 22nd, 2013, at The Redmoor in Mt Lookout Square.  The benefit is hosted by and will feature music by Jerry’s Little Band and Spookfloaters. Both bands will come together to play favorites from eras past and present, and to “jam for a cause” – a percentage of the door proceeds and all proceeds generated through raffle ticket sales and split the pot ticket sales will benefit Play it Forward.

Many local businesses have donated raffle prizes and money to this event.  This year’s sponsors include Reinvest Consultants, Star One Realtors, The Sandbar, Latitudes Café, Grateful Goodes, The Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center, Willis Music, Gaslight Property, Group Effort Sound Studio, Habanero Latin American Fare, Taft Theatre, SwimSafe Pool Management, J. Arthur Sheil & Associates, and The Cincinnati Nature Center.

Gary Burbank, local comedian, radio celebrity and musician, founded the 501c3 nonprofit organization Play It Forward to support local musicians and to help foster a strong local music community in the Greater Cincinnati area. Many wonderful musicians, friends, and music supporters have joined him in this cause. The concept revolves around the idea that for every kindness we receive, we can "pay it forward" by doing something nice for others.  Play it Forward's mission is to be a comprehensive resource for musicians, especially in times of extreme need, recognizing that music is a craft that demands years of study and discipline, and a profession that involves a good deal of risk.  The Tie Dye Ball, in its fourth year, is an annual benefit organized to benefit this worthy cause.

Jerry's Little Band is a Cincinnati based jam band playing Grateful Dead, Phish, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones & Jerry Garcia Band to name a few. They have been together since 1993.  Spookfloaters played their first gig on July 4th, 1987.  They play a wide variety of music ranging from Talking Heads to Stevie Wonder.  They are Cincinnati’s longest running jam band.

Doors at the Redmoor, located at 3187 Linwood Ave Cincinnati OH 45208, will open at 7 pm and the music will begin at 9 pm.  Admission to the event is $10.00 and will be collected at the door.  For more information about The Tie Dye Ball contact concert organizer Michelle Weadbrock at (513) 335 7254 or mweadbrock@gmail.com.
