Valdata Systems announces inventory accuracy greater than 99% achieved in a second CEI plant

Feb. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Valdata Systems today announced that its customer, Cosmetic Essence Incorporated (CEI), has achieved a year-end raw material inventory accuracy of greater than 99% in its Roanoke, Virginia plant.  CEI’s New Jersey plant has also shown inventory accuracies of greater than 99% for more than four consecutive years since installing Valdata’s Chemical Management System (“CMS”) in the Ridgefield, NJ facility.

After successfully installing CMS in its main NJ facility, CEI decided to implement the software in its Roanoke, Virginia plant and has seen impressive results.  CEI was able to achieve these results through the unique ability of the Valdata Systems solution to track inventory at the container level and interface its pre-weigh manufacturing module directly with scales.  These abilities allow the system to adjust inventory the instant it is consumed against a batching order, sample pull or container re-weigh.  Exact inventory adjustments are made to individual containers as opposed to lots, which can be easily split or mismanaged.

CEI has installed all four modules of CMS including Warehouse Management (Inventory), Manufacturing Execution, Formulation (Recipe Management) and LIMS.
