A donation of $2,240 has been made by the Financial Planning Association of New Jersey (FPANJ) to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. The membership of FPANJ realized that this recovery would require short term as well as long term needs for the residents and businesses of our state. The Board of FPANJ made a decision to donate the proceeds of their December 2012 dinner meeting toward the fund set up by Governor Christie. The members of FPANJ have witnessed first-hand the devastating effect this storm has had on the financial stability of their own clients and knew they had to step forward toward assisting.
FPANJ President, Todd Stanard, CFP®, ChFC, CRPC, is pleased by this board’s decision to help our communities with a financial investment. He says “The financial well-being of the New Jersey community is an integral part of our Mission Statement in where we plan to help educate the public on the benefits and value of the financial planning process with over 50 public educational seminars a year. It is an honor to lead an organization which has the capacity to not only educate, but to financially give back as well.”
