Feb. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Atlanta, Georgia – Atlanta based media streaming company iflixtv.com launches App in the Roku Channel Store. Not more that 2 hours later the indie film aggregator had received over 1800 subscribers and 24 hours later; an astonishing 5,796 subscribers were watching great independent cinema.

Iflixtv, LLC open for business in August 2012 and was the brain child of Atlanta film director and producer Greg Galloway. Galloway later teamed up with Autumn Bailey of Autumn Bailey Entertainment and popular networking event Get Connected. “iflixtv was created to provide indie filmmakers with a platform to showcase their talent and hopefully one day finance their dream” says Galloway in a recent Atlanta producers meet up. iflixtv provides an online platform and now Roku App for indie film enthusiasts around the globe. The company boasts the largest selection of indie and classic films anywhere on the web. “We aggregated the aggregators” explains Galloway as he talks about the process of getting a library of over 5,000 hours of content.

Iflixtv is divided into 5 basic demographics which they have named “Cafes” He, She, Kids, Foreign and Film Lover’s make up the current offering ranging from short films, documentaries and music videos to Feature films and episodic content. The company visits film festivals to sponsor film competitions awarding the winner with $1,000 and a year on their platform to receive additional revenue. Acquisitions are headed by Bailey and marketing, operations and technology fall to other officers of the company, Steve Turner, Regina Galloway, Michelle Riggins and Eunice Vicks-Rhea.

Iflixtv will compete with industry giants such as Hulu, Netflix and Crackle. Although their well-known competitors have solidified their place in the market, iflixtv plans to carve out  small niche in the indie and classic cinema world. The small start-up carries more indie films than all three of the major companies put together and at a significantly lower price point of $4.99. Now with the launch of their Roku channel, the boutique streaming company takes a huge step in to the market  and with the development of their new 2nd screen mobile app, iflixtv is poised to take the industry by storm.
