Follow on Google News | The 2014 Chevrolet SS will be Revealed at the Daytona International Speedway on February 16The long-awaited 2014 Super Sport is set to be unveiled at the legendary speedway on February 16, with a Holden model to debut on February 17.
By: Pat McGrath Chevyland http://www.patmcgrathchevyland.com/ In addition to the February 16 debut of the SS production model, Holden will be unveiling its own version of the SS, the VF Commodore, on February 17. Based in Australia, GM subsidiary Holden Ltd. has seen great success with its Commodore models, the latest being the VE Commodore, which was launched in 2006. Unveiling the 2014 SS at the Daytona International Speedway was an inspired choice, as the new Super Sport will be featured in competition throughout the upcoming NASCAR season. The word is that the drivers slated to take the wheel of the SS racecar over the course of the season include Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jimmy Johnson, Clint Bowyer, and Jeff Gordon. The new SS is sure to add to Chevrolet’s outstanding record of 701 NASCAR victories. The wait is nearly over for performance enthusiasts, who were last treated to a new Chevy SS model in 2010, with the fifth-generation Camaro Super Sport. The SS will be the first rear-wheel drive Chevrolet sedan we’ve seen in 17 years — that alone should be reason enough to sit up and take notice. The limited edition 2014 Chevrolet SS performance sedan, featuring a powerful small-block V8 engine, sport tuning, and the dynamic styling of the racecar version, is expected to be available in Chevy showrooms across the country later this year. Those who are interested in learning all the details regarding the new 2014 SS are encouraged to visit Pat McGrath Chevyland. They are located at 1600 51st Street NE in Cedar Rapids, IA.
