Michigan Cadillac Dealers Hear ATS Luxury Sedan Awarded “Best of the Year” for 2013

Feb. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- DETROIT – Michigan Cadillac dealers (http://miautotimes.com/) may have been proud to hear  that the Cadillac ATS was named the North American Car of the Year at the 2013 North American International Auto Show, but hearing that within a month, the ATS took home another award may have just been more icing on the cake.

The Cadillac ATS was named the 2013 “Best of the Year” Drivers’ Choice award by PBS’ MotorWeek. The award was announced at the Chicago Auto Show.

“The Cadillac ATS is simply the most impressive luxury sport sedan ever to wear an American brand name,” said MotorWeek host John Davis.

There was a group of 15 judges from the editorial staff at MotorWeek that chose the ATS from the more than 150 cars, trucks and utility vehicles.

The models were judged on:

·         performance

·         technology

·         practicality

·         fuel efficiency

·         dollar value

MotorWeek makes a decision in 13 different lifestyle categories, and Michigan Cadillac dealers may know that the ATS was also chosen as “Best Sport Sedan” by the panel.

“The objective of ATS was to challenge the world’s best sport sedans head-to-head, developing a true driver’s car that was nimble, quick and fun,” said Jim Vurpillat, director of marketing, global Cadillac. “That makes this recognition from the experts at Motorweek especially meaningful.”

It seems that Michigan Cadillac dealers may be seeing plenty more awards as others have been added to the list already:
