New York, February 15, 2013 - New York International Awards, Inc., a female-owned corporation, will be presenting the Golden Egg Film Festival (GEFF from here on) this May 20-25th at Tribeca Cinemas. After the New York City premier, New York International Awards, Inc. plans to bring the festival to London and Los Angeles.
Actor and New York International Awards, Inc. CEO Jolynn Carpenter states, “I am following in the footsteps of some of my favorite actors, but in reverse. Most A-list actors own their own production companies and if they don’t own a film festival, they at least have a managing hand in one. I’m doing the same thing in reverse, owning a film festival now, opening my own production company within the next six months, and becoming an A-list actor from there.”
GEFF brings emerging filmmakers and directors together with experienced filmmakers and directors for the benefit of both sides.
“One of the toughest parts of the entertainment industry is getting connected with other people who can help you get ahead in your career. We’re creating a jumping-off point for new, talented filmmakers and directors, plus we give both the already professionals and the newbies the opportunity to screen their films at Tribeca Cinemas in one of the world capitals, New York City,” says Carpenter.
GEFF will run at Tribeca Cinemas in May of every year. Moving forward, the London and Los Angeles branches will open towards the beginning of 2014.
