New Models and Prices Have Been Announced for SRT Dodge and Chrysler Vehicles

SRT has now announced new models for 2013, which should to be arriving soon. The new models will be called “core models,” and will offer lower prices and impressive value. These will include the 2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8 and the Chrylser 300 SRT8. The Challenger SRT8 will start at $39,990, which is a $4,780 price drop from the previously lowest priced 2013 Challenger SRT8 392. The 300 SRT8 will be marked at 44,990, a $4,000 price drop from the standard 300 SRT8.

The 2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Core Model starts with a black grille and black SRT spoiler. It will roll on 20-inch cast-aluminum wheels with blacked-out pockets and top-of-the-line black Brembo brakes. The Core models will even get cloth upholstery from the SRT Viper. The Core Challenger SRT8 will get a Hemi 6.4L V8 that cranks out an impressive 470 hp. The 392 badges on the side of the car will be replaced with decals.
The Chrysler 300 SRT8 Core Model will start off with the same 6.4L Hemi V8 good for 470 hp and add 20-inch cast aluminum wheels, Brembo brakes, and the same cloth seat inserts. The 300 SRT8 core keeps the 8.4-inch Uconnect system, but doesn’t come with a standard navigation system.


These surprisingly affordable high-performance vehicles are sure to appeal to drivers looking for a back-to-the-basics driving experience. Whereas most of the SRT vehicles are equipped with a leather interior, high-tech information system, and, sometimes, carbon fiber body panels, these cars provide all the performance without some of the features that some find unnecessary.
