HID Global to Participate at the ASIS Middle East and Security Conference and Exhibition 2013

HID Global will focus on its innovations in mobile access control, including mobile keys to create use and manage secure identity solutions via its iCLASS Seosä (http://www.hidglobal.com/products/cards-and-credentials/i...) credentials that can be embedded in Near Field Communications (NFC) enabled smartphones and its iCLASS SEâ platform readers. The key focus will be the convergence of physical access and IT security solutions by demonstrating how the same mobile access key can facilitate access from the door to data.

a)        Successful employee building access pilots using HID Global’s SESAME award-winning iCLASS SE readers and credentials with Netflix, the world’s leading internet television network.  

The pilots validated the use of digital credentials on NFC smartphones while delivering increased functionality and unprecedented levels of security. Some of the end user feedback from the pilot included:

·     More than 80 percent of Netflix testers said the application for unlocking a door was “intuitive,” and nearly 90 percent described it as easy to use.

·     87.5 percent of Netflix respondents said they would want to use a smartphone to open all locked doors at Netflix.

b)   iCLASS Seos (http://www.hidsecureidentity.com/nfc-symposium%20s) that allows for NFC mobile phones to be for multiple applications including physical access control and IT security. It will showcase how end-users can use applications such as wireless hotel keys, time and attendance, secure print authentication and biometric template storage.
