Follow on Google News | Local Business Leader’s Generous Gift Continues Commitment to Wake TechJohn Alexander, president and general manager of Cardinal International Trucking, has contributed $50,000 to support scholarships for students facing financial hardship. He is a long-time supporter of Wake Tech.
By: wake tech Mr. Alexander is a former Wake Tech Foundation board member who played a critical role in the effort to raise more than a million dollars to re-charter the Foundation in 1991. He has been an avid supporter of Wake Tech since 1989. “We greatly appreciate John’s generosity over the years,” said Wake Tech President Dr. Stephen Scott, “and we’re tremendously grateful that he chose to honor his wife by supporting Wake Tech students and educational programs with this gift.” The Ripple Effect is a response to record-breaking enrollment at Wake Tech and increased demand for the many training programs and educational options the college offers. To date the campaign has raised nearly $11 million dollars for scholarships and mentoring initiatives for students, faculty and staff innovation, and technology to provide the most up-to-date training.
