The caloric restriction is a dietary practice where an individual decrease the daily calorie intake without malnutrition. Fasting is a classical example of calorie restriction, which is in practice for ages in various Asian cultures. Experimental oncologist and scientists have confirmed that CR is one major factor, which decreases the incidence of cancers. Thirty six percent (36%) calorie restriction is reported to significantly reduce the incidence of cancers in experimental animals, exposed to radiations.
Finally, “Is calorie restriction a way to reduce the incidence of cancer? The answer is “may be yes”.
