Nathalie Christen-Genty, founder of Melijoe.com, online trendsetter for children’s fashion and herself a young mother of four, has earned the respect of the fashion industry. Commenting on the website’s development, she says, “Melijoe.com is not just a business; it is like my fifth child. I am never satisfied with where we are and I always strive for improvement for our customers. I am very inspired by adult fashion and our aim is to become the world’s leading children’s fashion e-tailer. Our growth is limited only by our imagination.”
Melijoe’s e-commerce website specialises in luxury multi-brand children’s fashion. Currently translated into 11 languages, including English, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish, Melijoe.com has announced the launch of its Dutch and Arabic versions.
With 25% of the company’s turnover generated by sales originating outside France, Melijoe is intent on increasing its presence in Europe, Northern America, the Middle East and Russia. In many parts of the world, the website has already attracted a large number of loyal customers.
Melijoe.com lists over 4,000 new styles every season and delivers goods to customers based in more than 75 countries. Boss, Chloé, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Missoni, Paul Smith, Roberto Cavalli, Rykiel and Versace are just some of the luxury brands and designers that have entrusted Melijoe to present their children collections on the Melijoe.com platform.
At Melijoe.com, children’s clothing is every bit as sophisticated as the world of adult fashion. Melijoe puts particular emphasis on the look of the website, featuring a magazine-like approach to style consulting. The company’s high standards and attention to detail mean that luxury brands are drawn to the website. In turn, these high-end brands grant online sales exclusives to Melijoe. This is particularly true of Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Galliano, GUESS, Missoni, Monnalisa, Pepe Jeans, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, Versace, and even Aston Martin.
Melijoe.com was created in 2007. In 2011, the company gained support from CM-CIC, one of the largest European banking groups. In 2012, the company received support from OSEO, an agency funded by the French government whose remit is to support innovative SMEs.
