New EP 'NATIVE' by /_\drian Daniel

Feb. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- This past year has been an experience for Brooklyn based indie punk-rock and soul artist /_\drian Daniel since his debut EP 'Memoirs of a Stoner' in May 2012 caught him and everyone by surprise. Though he continues to encounter challenges and hardships to bring the music he has written forward, he is still tripping that its been received so well by his peers. /_\drian had to always deal with challenges growing up in Brownsville, Brooklyn--challenges that continue to unfold in his stories told through his music. "Having to deal with the stories about my life being publicized in my music is not easy, but to me its cleansing to get them out."  /_\drian shared that he  has always been a person whose feelings seem to overcloud his judgment at times and admits that it doesn't get easier as he grows and experience life. On "NATIVE' listeners will experience the continuation of that story and new experiences as well. 'NATIVE' delivers the same honesty that challenges /_\drian emotionally, spiritually, musically and vocally. His reality becomes more real as you listen to the dark melody of 'Glory', the melodrama of 'Love at War' and the head bopping rap collabo of 'Anarchy'.  /_\drian shared "I have to face my heart everyday. I  was in love with a woman, a beautiful, talented and extremely intelligent creature. It was an overwhelming love that was before 'Memoirs of a Stoner' was ever written or thought about. If she broke my heart, a single time it felt like ten or twelve. I never been heartbroken. When that happened that's really what change everything." Ironically that experience turn /_\drian Daniel from a singer/songwriter to an artist. The stories made a difference, he says, between somebody hearing something of mine and being like "WOW!", this is a fresh approach that evokes a range of emotions from his fans. 'NATIVE' presents stories the way comedians laugh through their pain. /_\drian Daniel still is facing his truths every time he pens a song and every time he step up to sing though painful and raw and at time soulful but he feels like this is something he must do for himself and for those who he believes truly appreciate his raw honesty.
