Book clubs are everywhere today. If you're not in a book club or you don't know anyone who's in one, sorry, but you are decidedly odd. As a book-lover, you will want to start a book club one day. You will want to share your passion, and, you will find other people who have the same desire as you. It's a common disease.
Book clubs are groups of people organised for a common purpose and every one of us has our own point of view. That common cause needs to accommodate all styles of writing and writers. The key elements to a book club are the books and the writers. The book will make or break your club. Your club could choose books from a single genre, such as crime, romance, lit-fic or fantasy, but other people will also have their favourite styles and their much-loved writers. If someone wants to suggest a period romance novel, or a writer you’ve never heard of, read it. Especially if it's one of mine.
