Springfield Launches Effective Educator Development System

Feb. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Springfield Public Schools in Massachusetts recently partnered with Truenorthlogic to launch the Springfield Effective Educator Development System (SEEDS) using the Truenorthlogic software. The SEEDS evaluation process supports the development and continuous improvement of the district’s 2,700 teachers. The Springfield Public Schools SEEDS process aligns with and reinforces educator goals and is driven by evidence that includes student gains.

Springfield’s goal for improving student achievement involves coaching, developing and evaluating educators based on a clear vision of strong instruction.  SEEDS will supply a process of continuous improvement and the tools in which to measure development.  Data is deployed in a timely, accurate and accessible manner using data dashboards for teachers, principals and administrators to drive decision making, and formative and summative assessments to drive instruction.  Springfield’s summative evaluation process is available this academic year, with a roll out of all evaluations during the 2013-2014 school year.
