Speaking at the launch, Stephen Bennett, Chief Executive Officer of IDG said, “Whilst based on a strong theoretical underpinning, our programmes are always practical and set in the context of commercial reality. We work with blue chip organisations in more than 20 countries helping to resolve complex development issues which have a significant impact on bottom line performance.”
IDG also has a key differentiator in its UK activities, some of the lessons of which, it will bring to bear on the Indian market. To explain, Stephen continues, “In the UK we are in the highly privileged position of having a unique partnering agreement with the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) which is generally recognised as one of the pre-eminent leadership Institutions in the world. Sandhurst has been preparing people for senior leadership positions for over 200 years. This relationship allows us to blend leadership lessons from the military and from the commercial world on our tailored development programmes, creating a very special and compelling market proposition”
Speaking at the launch, Riya Arora, Director of Operations for India said, “We have started to meet with senior leaders in large organisations and the response has been encouraging. We are looking to develop relationships with large Indian companies who would like to explore some of the leadership concepts that we at IDG firmly believe in. We are currently running a taster programme for ‘Aspiring Senior Leaders’ in Pune and will be replicating it in Mumbai later in the year.”
