The putative Board of Trustees for the Jericho Baptist Church located in the heart of Landover, Md. has issued an incorrect press release. The Maryland Court of Special Appeals as of September 19, 2012 has reversed the recognition of the putative board. At this time, there is an Order of Default entered against the self-appointed unelected board that was not affected by the delaying tactics presented in the hearing held on Friday, February 10, 2013.
The unelected board has claimed in court documents, state documents and federal documents that the members of the church elected them. There is absolutely no truth in that claim. When challenged on this fabrication, they defined themselves alone as “members.”
On Friday February 10, hundreds of members of the church showed up at the Prince George's County Courthouse to dispute these claims by the six employees.
