Feb. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- San Francisco pop-punk band Worth Taking will release their second EP, Oddly Pacific, February 12, 2012. The four-song EP features the single, “I Like the Movie Version Better,” heralded by Pittsburgh Music Magazine as, “a post power punk romp that has the feel of Taking Back Sunday mating with My Freshman Year.” The single’s video has already debuted on YouTube and received nearly 1,000 views in the first 24 hours. Worth Taking blends irresistible melodies, palm mutes, three-chord blasts and sugary vocals, producing a classic pop-punk sound that harkens back to mid 2000s Drive-Thru Records. The band is the brainchild of Jerod McBrayer, who left the Atlanta punk scene to establish a band of talented West Coast cohorts to help him play the less raunchy brand. McBrayer’s smart lyrics speak directly to anyone dealing with the challenges of post-adolescent life, avoiding the sniffled post-breakup discourse prevalent in many pop-punk songs.

The band has several Bay Area shows and tours lined in support of Oddly Pacific, including a trip to Japan in late spring. The band is including a free download card with every purchase of Oddly Pacific, containing each of the EP’s four songs. It will also be available on iTunes. (http://WorthTaking.com)
