Worth Taking blends irresistible melodies, palm mutes, three-chord blasts and sugary vocals, producing a classic pop-punk sound that harkens back to mid 2000s Drive-Thru Records. The band is the brainchild of Jerod McBrayer, who left the Atlanta punk scene to establish a band of talented West Coast cohorts to help him play the less raunchy brand. McBrayer’s smart lyrics speak directly to anyone dealing with the challenges of post-adolescent life, avoiding the sniffled post-breakup discourse prevalent in many pop-punk songs.
The band has several Bay Area shows and tours lined in support of Oddly Pacific, including a trip to Japan in late spring. The band is including a free download card with every purchase of Oddly Pacific, containing each of the EP’s four songs. It will also be available on iTunes. (http://WorthTaking.com)
