Local Business Woman Receives 2013 Business of the Year Award

Feb. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Local business woman, Elizabeth Milio, co-owner of Innovative Computer Services, LLC of Freehold, NJ, was awarded the 2013 Business Woman of the Year Award presented by The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) Shore Region on January 24, 2013.

This award honors NJAWBO members who distinguish themselves in their business, NJAWBO, and their community. It gives them recognition for their business skills and accomplishments. Ms. Milio has been a member of NJAWBO since 1994 and has served on the Region's board in numerous capacities, currently as VP Finance. She is co-owner of Innovative Computer Services, LLC, an Internet Technology firm offering Web Development, Maintenance, Mobile Websites, Hosting, SEO, Shopping Carts, Database Development, E-Publishing and more, with her partner, Peter Dumpert.

Ms. Milio is a Teal Sponsor for NJAWBO (state level), and a web sponsor for the Shore Region. She volunteers in her community as secretary of her condominium association, and as treasurer on the main association board and is the newsletter chair. She serves on the Board of Trustees and is the Communications Chair for GLSEN® Central New Jersey. She is also donates Web Admin services for several associations including GPBN, NSA-NJ, and NJAWBO. A founding member of NAWBO® Central Jersey Chapter, she held the office of President in 2004-2005.

Ms. Milio is a past recipient of the Nancy C. Righter award, as well as three Teal Heart awards from NJAWBO. She has been honored by NAWBO Central Jersey as Member of the Year Star Award and Member of the Year Award in Technology from the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
As the recipient of the Region's award, Ms. Milio is eligible to be considered for the State Business Woman of the Year Award. The winner at the state level is selected from all the Regions' entries. The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) is the only statewide organization in New Jersey with a mission to address the concerns and issues of business ownership by women. The organization's objectives are to encourage and support business ownership by women, enable women business owners to network, provide a legislative voice for the interests of women-owned businesses and provide entrepreneurial training and assistance.
