She will share ownership of the agency with Doubleclick founder Fred Massa, and will have responsibility for the overall direction and operation of the company. She first joined Doubleclick in February 2012 as an agent and in August was promoted to Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
Whitting has more than four years of experience in the Real Estate Property Management industry, working in a vast array of portfolios including residential, commercial, retail, parking, ground leases, development and construction. Prior to joining Doubleclick Properties earlier this year, she was a Corporate Accountant with Senior Living Residences in South Boston.
Previous industry experience includes tenure as a Junior Accountant with Colliers International in Cambridge and as an Assistant Property Manager with Winn Companies in Dorchester.
She is a graduate of Suffolk University with a BSBA in Global Business and Finance. While at Suffolk, Whitting had the opportunity to travel the world, including Spain, France and the Czech Republic, opening her horizons to a large variety of people and customs.
Whitting holds numerous industry certifications, including her Specialists in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) certificate, a Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) designation and a certificate in Real Estate Principles & Practices. She is also certified as a Credit Compliance Professional.
Originally from Naugatuck, CT, she has resided in the Boston area for the past nine years.
One of her outside interests is music. During her high school years in Connecticut, she was part of the Concert Choir and sang regularly. While in highs school, she sang with the Chamber Singers and traveled to Portugal to participate in an exchange concert.
“It’s been great to travel around the world,” Whitting said, “But I have to say that I have fallen in love with Boston: Beacon Hill, Back Bay, the North End, and more.” She added, “What is also interesting in our business is to watch the revitalization of neighborhoods, including South Boston and Dorchester, which are becoming prime rental markets because of the increased availability of transportation such as the T.”
