PRLog - Feb. 11, 2013 - EVERGLADES CITY, Fla. -- A Florida Everglades airboat tour company, Captain Doug’s, is doing their part to increase Florida tourism while also helping children in a small Chicago school. The company recently donated tickets for Everglades airboat tours, to be included in a Florida vacation package the school auctioned off as part of a fundraising event.

“When this school reached out to us requesting the donation of tickets, we were excited about the opportunity,”
The tickets were donated to a school called the Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School, located in Chicago, IL. The school requested tickets from Captain Doug’s in an effort to support the school’s annual fundraiser, “Auction 2013: Celebrate & Elevate BZAEDS,” which is scheduled for March 2nd.
“I did one of Captain Doug’s tours years ago and loved it,” said Rebecca Cohen, chairperson for the annual fundraiser. “I thought this would be a great way to share the fun while helping raise money for our school and families in need of financial assistance.”
Patel hopes this donation of tickets will be a way for Captain Doug’s to raise awareness about the Florida Everglades to people in the Chicago area, and increase tourism in Southwest Florida.
“We know that the whoever ends up with the Florida vacation package will have an amazing time touring the Florida Everglades by airboat,” added Patel. “Our hope is that, when they get back to Chicago, they will tell their friends and family members about the great experience they had. Hopefully, it will encourage more people in their area to also plan a vacation to Florida and come out to tour the Everglades.”
