Follow on Google News | Leeds photographer joins forces with GoogleGoogle has teamed up with a Leeds photographer to bring a new concept to Yorkshire businesses using virtual walk-through technology that’s affordable for even the smallest of firms.
By: Blue Logic Computers Ltd Roy Moody, a partner at Leeds-based IT services provider Blue Logic, underwent a demanding training and quality assessment programme to qualify as a Google Trusted Photographer for the Leeds area. Roy said: ‘It was only a matter of time for Google to extend their existing street view technology, but I didn’t think it would be here so quickly. Businesses including hotels and restaurants can be made more accessible by allowing customers to take a virtual walk through their doors and experience their business like never before.’ A Virtual Tour will also make it easier for new customers to find local business by displaying the firm’s details and a virtual tour in Google’s local search results and Google maps. Additional photographs taken during the shoot will also appear on the new Google+ local business pages and may be used by the customer for their own marketing purposes. Although this technology was only launched in the UK last year, many Leeds businesses have already taken advantage, including Bibis Restaurant, near Sovereign Street in Leeds. Angelo Plazzi, general manager said: ‘We have a stunning restaurant but not everyone has experienced it. ‘A Google Virtual Tour gives us a whole new way to encourage new customers to come and dine with us. The Virtual Tour exceeded our expectations and we have already had a great response – it looks terrific.’ More information about Google Virtual Tours is available by contacting Roy Moody at Blue Logic Computers on 0113 273 9040 or via www.bluelogic.co.uk/ End
