His appearance will take place on Saturday March 16 – just hours after the Premier League game between Swansea and Arsenal at the Liberty Stadium. Jonathan will be joined by other top journalists from the Blizzard, including Philippe Auclair and Gabriele Marcotti to discuss all things football with the audience and reflect on the clash against the Gunners. The event will be anchored by Marcus Speller from the Football Ramble website. Cllr Nick Bradley, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: "The Dylan Thomas Centre has a fine tradition in attracting top names from the literary world. Jonathan Wilson is a well-respected and popular football writer whose appearance coincides with what's a fantastic time for the Swans. Michael Laudrup and his team have just about cemented Premier League status for next season but they could also be Carling One Cup winners in a few weeks. "The Blizzard is known for being a magazine where football journalists can write the stories that matter to them, which makes for fascinating reading. The Dylan Thomas Centre event will be a treat for fans of the beautiful game." Jonathan Wilson is also the author of famous books including 'Inverting the Pyramid' about the history of football tactics, and 'Nobody Ever Says Thank You' - a biography of legendary manager Brian Clough.
