Mr. Tyas was raised in the working class North of England in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. He heard Elvis Presley singing Blue Suede Shoes in 1956 and saw The Beatles in concert in 1963. At school, he was pretty academic and probably destined to be an accountant, but knew he wanted to be a rock star. He learned to play drums (which is not too difficult anyway) and played in and formed many local bands. He moved to the bright lights of London town with his drum kit, to pursue his dreams. Unfortunately drugs and women somewhat got in the way of pursuing the dream on a daily basis, but he managed to make enough noise (in a metaphorical sense) to get a job in the business as a roadie! While it wasn’t a job he thought he would perform for almost forty years – he did just that. Michael (Mick) now lives in London with his stepson while maintaining a home Colorado, United States.
