Alongside the official opening of their eagerly anticipated Covent Garden Store on Thursday 14th February, The Cambridge Satchel Company has today announced plans to launch a US website (www.cambridgesatchel.com)
“Our business has been built on the power of the internet”, said Julie Deane, founder of the Cambridge Satchel Company, “and we are excited to put this dedicated website in place to help meet the online needs of our existing and our new customers. In the last year, we have increased our portfolio of US retailers as well as expanded our range of specials and exclusives with our valued retailers including Bloomingdales, Henri Bendel, J Crew, Shopbop and Urban Outfitters. We are also proud to have announced our first US designer collaboration with the lovely Chris Benz, which received incredible positive response and interest. Our range of fluorescent, or neon, bags were first noticed at New York Fashion week just a few seasons ago – since then the US has really embraced The Cambridge Satchel Company even naming us the ‘Brit It Bag’. As we approach our fifth birthday it seems the perfect time to launch an online shop for our US customers, and what better timing than at the start of another New York Fashion Week?”
Later this month, The Cambridge Satchel Company will be releasing 4 exciting new colors as part of their Spring Summer Collection, as well as 2 new colors for 2013.
The Cambridge Satchel Company was founded in 2008 at Julie’s kitchen table. Having invested just £600 to get the idea off the ground, The Cambridge Satchel Company is now a pioneering business employing more than 80 people and experiencing phenomenally fast growth around the world, with an annual turnover of more than £8 million. The story of the brand’s growth is featured in the latest Google Chrome advert series ‘The Web is What You Make of It’ http://www.youtube.com/
