As a kickoff to the weekend-long festivities, there will be an Anniversary Party for the honorees held at Zion Christian Center located at 2850 Virgilina Road on Saturday evening the 16th at 5:00 p.m. It is sure to be a night to remember with a catered dinner, live music – featuring Rashaan Fuller-Wright, joy and lots of laughter. Attire for the evening is Sunday’s best to formal – so don the apparel befitting of a King’s son or daughter. Registration is currently closed for the party, but Sunday is filled with great anticipation.
During Sunday morning’s worship service on February 17th, the excitement continues! To help commemorate almost two decades of Zion Christian Center’s existence will be Associate Pastor Ralph Dorsey of Strong’s Foundation Ministries located in San Antonio, Texas. Zion Christian Center is not a foreign atmosphere for Dorsey who has ministered there on several occasions. Dorsey originally resided in Virginia Beach, Virginia where he presided as senior pastor of Church of God and attended Regent University. Dorsey is not only a husband and father of three children, but he is an avid business opportunist – entrepreneur. Morning worship service begins promptly at 11:00a.m.
Then, Sunday evening, another chance to show support in observation of the Johnsons 19 years of service to the work of the Lord will begin also at 5:00p.m. Pastor Andrew Singletary of New Life Christian Center in Durham, NC will be in attendance to bring forth the Word of God. The Prevailing Word, a weekly program hosted by Singletary is seen around the world. Albeit Singletary, known for his straightforward – no nonsense ministry of the Gospel, is mission minded taking the Good News into the continents of Africa, Asia, North America and so forth. Both a husband and father, Pastor Singletary is also the author of: Conquering the Flesh, Faith The Key To Life and Being Established In The Things Of God.
The merriment will all draw to a close with a reception of heavy hors d’ oeuvres immediately following the Sunday evening service. All are welcomed! Come and Rejoice!
