The People have Spoken! Announcing The Top 10 Finalists for the 2013 Mompreneur® Award

From coast to coast Canadians had the chance to nominate and vote for innovative, creative and inspiring women who juggle successful businesses and families, for the 2013 Mompreneur® Award of Excellence.  And did they ever! Almost 65,000 votes were cast for close to 300 nominees for the first annual presentation of this new award.  

With the voting phase now over, the TOP TEN finalists have been announced, representing the diverse talent and vast landscape of Canadian Business Excellence!

Now the task of selecting Canada’s favorite mompreneur will be left to an expert panel of judges. The winner will be chosen based on a set of specific criteria including track record of success, innovation of business idea, and impact on community. The Mompreneur® Award of Excellence is all about celebrating innovative ideas and creative solutions from talented moms in business.

Mompreneurs®, SavvyMom Media and Parents Canada magazine, along with presenting sponsor Children’s Education Funds Inc., have teamed up to recognize and reward the country’s top mompreneur with a prize package valued at $30,000.  Designed to drive the winning mompreneur’s business forward to further success, the Grand Prize Package includes $5,000 cash, $2,500 in legal services from Wildeboer Dellelce LLP; a $2,500 Productivity Coaching Package from Clear Concept Inc.; $2,500 towards a Brand Development Package from Ariane Griffiths Web|Media|Design; a $2,000 Premium Submission Package from Parent-Tested-Parent-Approved (PTPA Media); and thousands more in SEO development, mentorship, and advertising from the contest partners.
