Come hear stories from local and international “heroes” whose actions to promote a better humanity will inspire you.
Through service we become more tolerant of our differences, more understanding of others, learn to respect others, and with mutual respect live with others in peace.
This is a free event and not a solicitation. Rotary International is committed to service above self and the Cameron Park Rotary Club is hosting this event to assist attendees in discovering opportunities and ways to become involved in service opportunities.
The event will feature a welcome address from Rotary 5190 District Governor Sam Wilbanks, two panel discussions and keynote speaker, Emily Jonas, an Ambassador and Response Team Member for Shelter Box International who is actively involved in local and international service efforts.

Featured Speaker: Emily LoSavio Jonas is an Ambassador and Response Team Member for Shelter Box International. Shelter Box is global disaster relief charity which instantly responds to earthquake, volcano, flood, hurricane, cyclone, tsunami or conflict disasters by delivering boxes of aid to help families rebuild their lives after losing everything in a disaster. Emily has been honored by AT&T and 92.7FM radio as a local “Community Hero”, and was featured as the inspiring visionary leader in Wiley & Co.'s book The Leadership Challenge. She continues to work in the field and speak widely about her work.
