“Lip Synch Extravaganza Eleganza” portrays the remaining 13 queens in their ravishing pursuit of becoming America’s next fabulous drag queen while snatching the tantalizing grand prize including: a lifetime supply of Colorevolution Cosmetics, a one of a kind trip, courtesy of Al & Chuck.Travel.com, the honor of headlining the drag race tour featuring Absolute Vodka; cocktails perfected, and a “cash money honey” prize of $100,000.
After the first queen elimination of Penny Tration, the show picks up with the remaining queens discussing their remorse of their beloved fellow cast away. Drama instantly erupts as Detox and the catty Jade Jolie snip at the eliminations runner-up Serna ChaCha, expressing to the reluctant queen that they loved the departed Penny and hated seeing her leave.
As the episode unfolds, we find the remaining 13 queens given the task of reenacting the classic melodramatic moments from the previous four seasons of Drag Race, with actresses Kristen Johnston and Julliette Lewis serving as the “extra special” judges for the challenge. The queens were informed to precisely lip-synch and dramatize their acting of these momentous queen moments to avoid elimination.
Unfortunately for Serena ChaCha, she found herself realizing that her extravagant dream of becoming America’s next super-star queen was prematurely coming to an end after her sup-par, lip-synching performance to Rihanna’s “Only Girl,” losing the challenge to Monica Beverly Hillz. The sassy Serena boastfully strutted off the stage following the previous footsteps of the adored Penny Tration.
In addition to Colorevolution being featured throughout the 5th season of RuPaul's Drag Race; IBG Laboratories, the makers of Colorevolution, is collaborating with RuPaul on specialized private label items that will be coming in 2013.
