Follow on Google News | New Health IT Innovation Awards Announced by NCHICA and IntelIntel and NCHICA are requesting nominations for several awards that showcase innovation in healthcare information technology. Nominations are due March 8 and winners will be honored May 7, 2013.
By: NCHICA “Intel has a long history of industry leadership and the development of game-changing technologies intended to spur innovation and enable realization of a trusted, integrated, people-centered healthcare system for the 21st century and beyond,” said Dan Rivera, area director, government, education and medical region, Intel Corporation. “There is a breadth of innovation taking place and we look forward to highlighting these new and exciting technologies.” “Through these awards, we seek to showcase innovations that accelerate the transformation of the U.S. healthcare system,” said Holt Anderson, executive director of NCHICA. “This fits with the mission of NCHICA, and we are proud to partner with Intel and other industry leaders on this important initiative.” Nominations are due by March 8, 2013. Three finalists in each category will be selected by a panel of NCHICA members and other industry experts serving on the Awards Selection Committee. Nine finalists will be notified on March 29. The finalists will be recognized and the three winners will be announced and honored at a Gala Awards Celebration on May 7, 2013.
