If the customer chooses to receive the gift certificate, the item will remain on backorder until it is available to ship - which could be from a few days to a few months. If the item is cancelled after the gift certificate is rewarded, the gift certificate will be revoked. If the gift certificate is used during this time, the order may not be cancelled.
