The annual event takes place in the Fall and is popular with locals and tourists alike.
Travel Guide http://www.totalorlando.com reports the rumour this week and although Disney World have not confirmed anything yet, they are known to have introduced the potential concept through their market research teams of late.
The system will potentially allow guests to purchase a card at various points within the park for a set price. Purchases will be deducted from the card at any of the 30+ food locations throughout the World Showcase area during that day.
Discounts are most likely to be the highest incentive for guests to take out the Food & Wine Festival Card.
No information exists yet as to whether card balances can be applied to multiple days or whether Annual Pass holders may be eligible to additional discounts when buying the Food & Wine festival card.
