Toshiba India appoints Sanjay Warke as Country Head for DS Division

Feb. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- New Delhi, 7th Feb, 2013: Reiterating its focus on India market, Toshiba India, a 100% subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation, Japan, a global leader in innovation and cutting edge technology, today announced the appointment of Mr. Sanjay Warke as the Country Head for DS Division at Toshiba India. Mr. Warke has assumed responsibilities with effect from this year for developing, driving and implementing business strategies and solutions for Toshiba India DS division to maximize the Company’s business growth.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Kenji Urai, Managing Director, Toshiba India Private Limited, said, “India is a key market for Toshiba and Sanjay is a crucial member of the India leadership team. Sanjay’s vast experience spanning over 2 decades in India, enables him to understand the varied demographics and complex consumer behavior. Mr. Warke, a post graduate in business management from IIM Bangalore, will be based in New Delhi and operate out of Toshiba India’s head office in Gurgaon. Mr. Warke succeeds Mr. Tengguo Wu, who is moving from India to Singapore, to take on a significant role in the Group’s Singapore operations. Prior to joining Toshiba India, Mr. Warke spent around 2 decades with many successful companies including Asian Paints, Cadbury India and Pepsico India in a variety of senior roles in Sales & Marketing, SCM, corporate finance, and brand management across several key markets within India. In his last role, he led the operations for Vodafone in eastern circle in India
