We want to be part of a change in the way people look at products and design, in particular where they are going to buy these products, and how much they are paying for them. We have combined sustainability with design and the designers that are working with us at the moment have some fantastic products to showcase this ideology.
http://shop.moorbi.com has progressed extensively in the past few months as the company has grown and more designers have decided to join us with our mission to spread sustainable living. As our designers list increases, so do our products list and in the past few weeks we have had some fantastic new upcycled and eco-friendly content uploaded.
Here are some examples of products we currently have on our website: www.moorbi.com and how they represent the combination of eco-living and perfect design.
This scarf titled, ‘Sherlock Scarf' is a limited edition, 100% wool scarf made in Sweden. It is part of the collection, ‘Winter is not over yet', and made of upcycled and vintage leftover pieces of fabric.
Designer: Studio-ljung & Ljung
This product is part of our ‘lighting' section entitled, ‘Spaghetti Party'. It is a ONE-OFF piece, made especially using original restored components. It is a perfect example of an upcycled product.
This cushion titled, GARDEN, is part of our textiles collection, full of colourful and fashionable products for the home. This particular cushion was inspired by the fashion article, ‘Color Theory' and resulted in a variety of products embellishing this pattern. Made in the UK.
Designer: Parris Wakefield
Some designers that Moorbi.com has been working with include Adacta, who produce quality bags and accessories. Their designs are all made from restored and upcycled products, giving them a new lease of life.
Another company, Couple of Ideas, include some brilliant furniture pieces. They are all unique, one-off pieces, one product is a chest-of-drawers with the Queen’s portrait on the front. Classic designs but made for modern interiors.
Garbage is a company that has been with us for a while. They provide amazing upcycled and unique lighting pieces. The designs are very intricate, made with light-metal, painted individually. They are a token of how your home could be lit up with original designs.
The designers Lucirmas are responsible for the first design seen above, the glass frame that could be used for flower decoration. The products are made carefully and beautifully using recycled glass and would make for perfect home decoration.
Lastly, to introduce you to Revampit, they are designers that make a range of products. Moorbi.com has a selection of cushions, chairs, bolsters, quilts and stools all made by Revampit. All the items are cleverly upcycled to create designs that speak wonders. They are utilizing brand new vintage and contemporary materials.
The materials are from Revampt's collection, sourced from the excesses of the fashion & textile industry.
We hope we have showed you just from these products themselves that the products we sell on our website are top quality and reflect the gifts of the designers that we hope to showcase. As Moorbi.com develops we have a good idea of how we want to help people live more sustainable lives and bring communities together to help designers and sustainable living progress in a similar direction.
